15 नोभेम्बर (रवि) बेलुका 560०–562२ कन्टन रोड याउ मा तेईमा रहेको एउटा टेनेन्ट भवनमा निर्मम आगो लाग्यो र ८ जनाको मृत्यु भयो र एक दर्जन भन्दा बढी घाइते भए। अचानक धेरै परिवार गहिरो शोकमा भए।
खबर पाएपछि, KKICSC ले तुरून्त आपतकालीन समर्थन सेवाहरू सक्रिय गर्यो। सबैभन्दा पहिले कर्मचारीले काम क्वङग् नेपाल क्रिश्चियन चर्चका भाइबहिनीहरूलाई भेला गरे कि कुनै नातेदार वा साथीहरू आगोमा घाइते हुनुभयो वा मृत्यू भयो कि भनेर। त्यसपछि , १ Nov नोभेम्बर (सोमबार) को बिहान, केन्द्र र नेपाली स्वयंसेवकहरूको स्टाफको एक टोली आपतकालीन स्थल, क्वगं वाह अस्पताल र क्वीन एलिजाबेथ अस्पतालमा शोकाकुल व्यक्तहरू र परिवारको सहयोग र हेरचाहका लागि गए। उनीहरूले अनसाइट अनुवाद र भावनात्मक परामर्श प्रदान गरे; चिकित्सा कर्मचारीहरु, सरकारी अधिकारीहरु, पुलिस अधिकारीहरु, जिल्ला परिसदहरू आदिको बीचमा कुराकानीको माध्यमका रूपमा काम गरे र वास्तविक समयका मुद्दाहरुमा सहयोग पुर्याए ।
उक्त घटना पछि केन्द्रले चारवटा दुर्घटनामा परेका परिवारलाई सम्पर्क गरे। नेपाली स्वयम्सेवकहरूले कठिन समयलाई पार गर्न उपयुक्त हेरचाह र सहयोग प्रदान गर्ने आशाका साथ उनीहरूसँग पारस्परिक विश्वासको सम्बन्ध स्थापित गरे। यसैबीच, जुनसुकै समयमा पनि नेपाली अनुवाद र सहयोग जस्ता सहयोगको लागि सहयोग पुर्याउन इच्छुक छौ भनि जानकारी दिन केन्द्रका सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताहरूले याउ मा तेई जिल्लाका सहायक समाज कल्याण अधिकारी र दुई अस्पतालका मेडिकल सोशल सर्विसेज इकाईलाई सम्पर्क गरिसकेका छन्,।
हामी जातीय अल्पसंख्यकका साथीहरूसँग हिँड्ने इच्छा गर्दछौ, र हामी वरपरका उपेक्षित जीवनहरूको हेरचाह गर्न समुदायबाट ध्यान र उचित कार्यको लागि आह्वान गर्दछौं।

On 15th Nov (Sun) evening, a ruthless fire broke out in a tenement building at 560-562 Canton Road in Yau Ma Tei, resulting in eight deaths and more than a dozen injuries. A number of families were in deep sorrow by the sudden grief.
After learning the news, KKICSC immediately activated emergency support services. First, the staff gathered brothers and sisters of Kam Kwong Nepal Christian Church to check if any relatives or friends were injured or killed in the fire. Then, in the early morning of 16th Nov (Mon), a team of staff from the Center and Nepalese volunteers went to the disaster site, Kwong Wah Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital to express condolences and offer support and care for the Nepalese families. They provided onsite translation and emotional counseling, served as communication laison among the Nepalese and the medical staff, government officials, police officers, district councilors etc., also dealing with and following up on different real-time issues.
In the aftermath of the incident, the Center has managed to contact the families of four casulaties. The Nepalese volunteers have established a relationship of mutual trust with them, hoping to provide appropriate care and support to overcome the hard time. Meanwhile, social workers from the Center have already contacted the Assistant Social Welfare Officer of Yau Ma Tei District and the Medical Social Services Unit of the two hospitals, to express the willingness to provide any support needed such as Nepali translation and companionship at any time.
We look forward to walking with friends from the ethnic minorities, and would like to call for attention and action from the community to care for the neglected lives around us.

11月15日(星期日)晚上，油麻地廣東道560至562號唐樓發生一場無情大火，造成八死及十多人受傷送院，多個家庭面對突然而來的哀痛，深感悲傷！
中心得知消息後，隨即啟動緊急支援服務。首先，同工召集基督教尼泊爾錦光堂的弟兄姊妹，搜尋有沒有親友在火災其中受傷亡，繼而在翌日11月16日(星期一)清晨，中心的同工與尼泊爾籍義工前往災場、廣華醫院及伊利沙伯醫院支援、關懷尼泊爾家庭，提供翻譯即時及情緒輔導，成為尼泊爾人與醫護人員、政府職員、警員、區議員溝通的橋樑，與他們即時處理及跟進不同方面的問題。
中心共接觸了四個死傷者的家庭，尼泊爾籍義工與受影響家庭建立互信關係，盼能提供適切的關顧與支援，度過難關。與此同時，中心社工聯絡該區油麻地區副福利專員及兩間醫院的醫務社會服務部，表達我們尼泊爾籍義工可以隨時提供尼泊爾文的翻譯及陪伴等服務。
